The Right to Education Act which promises free and compulsory education to children between the age of six and 14, is in tune with the Gandhian philosophy, speakers at a conference on Child Rights from the Gandhian Perspective said on Monday.Oscar Fernandes, MP and chairman of the parliament's standing committee on the human resource development ministry, said, "One of the core ideas of Mahatma Gandhi was that every child should get education, therefore the Right to Education is based on his philosophy".
It would be an effective stream in front of educational views perspective while gathering of several educational programme.
"Gandhi had said that if a child gets education then he or she will have the access to anything in life," he added.
