At KMC, the rush was primarily for BCom (H), which is closed in most of the colleges. Bhim Sen Singh, principal of Kirori Mal College, said, that they have nearly exhausted the seats in BCom (H). Forty-two students have been admitted as against 43 seats. There are still three more days left for admissions.
Nearby, Moti Lal Nehru College admitted over 100 students with the maximum rush for BCom and BA programme, said admissions convener Dr P Sengupta. The college is admitting students for these two courses besides BSc physical science and BA Sanskrit (H).
The day also witnessed a significant rise in the number of OBC admissions. While DR has filled up 154 of its 290 seats, Venkateswara filled 128 of its 296 OBC seats. Off-campus colleges like Lady Shri Ram and Gargi, too, registered a good turnout in OBC admissions.
