Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Parivar
Joining the Anna bandwagon, the latest is the Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Parivar. Its members took out a rally from Bharat Mata Pratima in Ghantaghar to Phoolbagh. While talking out the rally, they raised anti-corruption slogans.
Rashtriya Viklang Party
The members of Rashtriya Viklang Party too came out on roads to protest against corruption and support Anna Hazare. The handicapped people gathered at Motijheel and raised anti-corruption slogans. They wore black ribbons and sat on a dharna to pledge their support to Anna. They also burnt the copies of the Lokpal Bill drafted by the Central government.
Kanpur Division Insurance Employees Association
The Kanpur Division Insurance Employees' Association also did not lag behind in supporting Anna Hazare. During the lunch hours, the insurance employees wore black ribbons to register their protest against the decision of sending Anna to Tihar Jail.
All India Khuddam Haj Committee
The Haj pilgrims too have come out in support of Anna Hazare. Naimmudin Siddiqui, president, Haj Committee, said that corruption also exists in the proceedings of 'Haj yatra'. He said that crores of rupees are being spent by the prime minister office (PMO) every year on Haj pilgrimage.
Kanpur Bijli Majdoor Sabha
The members of Kanpur Bijli Majdoor Sabha (Kesco employees) took out a motorcycle rally to protest against the arrest of Anna Hazare in New Delhi.The Kesco employees wore black ribbons and abstained from work. They gathered at Kesco head office in Civil Lines. By afternoon hours, hundreds of employees had reached the Kesco office. Later, they took out a rally through city streets.
