According to some CAT 2010 takers, they had been able to view their results on the link that had been uploaded on a private forum and had spread at lightning speed among CAT 2010 candidates. However, all claims of the result being leaked have been refuted by the CAT 2010 Committee.
The link said that the results were for the CAT 2009 examination. However, when the roll numbers were entered on the website, the results that appeared were apparently for the year 2010. According to Hitesh Devalia, who runs Endeavor coaching classes in Ahmedabad, the results that appeared after the roll number was entered, appeared in the form of a complete scorecard, showing section wise break up of marks along with the candidate's photograph.
It has been alleged that the website may have been hacked by someone, which is reminiscent of what had happened in the year 2004 when the CAT results had been leaked a day ahead of schedule on the website. "We had been taking down the servers and will be uploading the results. Whatever happens meanwhile is not of our concern.
The results will be available officially on January 12," he said. The online testing and assessment company that has been conducting the online CAT since the past two years, Prometric, has also denied having any knowledge of the results being leaked before schedule. According to a spokesperson from Prometric, the agency had no hand whatsoever in the apparent leaking of the results.
